Why Being A Person of Faith Is Indispensable In the Last Days.
In Luke 18 Jesus said the following “However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8). This reveals that at Jesus’ second coming, He will be looking for those who are still holding on to their faith in Him. It is wisdom for us to be found where Jesus will be looking when He comes – those with faith. These are the ones that are guaranteed a place with Him (Revelation 3:5, Hebrews 10:37-38, Matthew 24:13).
Jesus’ statement about finding faith on earth when He comes also reveal that true faith would be a rare commodity in these last days. The Bible underscores this, predicting that in the period leading up to the second coming of Jesus, there will be an apostasy or a falling away from the faith (2 Thessalonians 2:1-3). Jesus also warned of great persecution and hatred for those who believe in Him in these last days, which will result in many falling away from the faith (Matthew 24:9-10). He also warned of many false prophets who will arise and mislead many as well as increasing lawlessness that will make the love of many grow cold (Matthew 24:9-12). By these, we see that one of the major things that will come under assault in these last days is our faith; the devil working over time, as it were, to get us to completely abandon our faith or make us lukewarm, a terrible spiritual state that will cause Jesus to vomit us from His mouth (Revelation 3:16). We therefore have a responsibility to guard and strengthen our faith by feeding on and practising the Word of God regularly to survive the last days and triumph in it – for faith comes by hearing (present continuous) the Word of God, not having heard the God’s word (Romans 10:17).
One of the ways by which many may fall away is a lack of understanding of what the Bible teaches about the last days. If we don’t develop the habit of loving God’s truth enough to open His Word to learn what is in there for ourselves, we can easily fall for the deception that leads many astray just as the Bible teaches, that not having a love for God’s truth is a recipe for deception in the last days (cf. 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12). Many who are waiting to be taken out of the planet before the terrible times and the great tribulation come may be grossly offended when those days suddenly fall upon them. This may unsettle the faith of many who will be ill-prepared for those times. Moreover, if we are waiting to be raptured what need will there be for us to pay attention to the passages that teaches us to build our faith to face and triumph through the great tribulation since some already believe that there’s no instruction for the church during the great tribulation because the church would have been raptured. However, we find the opposite in the Bible. For example, right at the beginning of the book of Revelation, the Bible declares that the book was specifically written, not to lukewarm Christians or sinners, but to those in the church who are bondservants of God (Revelation 1:1). These are God’s choicest; His best and faithful servants. Sinners and lukewarm Christians can learn from the book and get their life in order, but the Bible makes it very clear right at the opening verse of the book of Revelation that its contents are meant for those who are bondservants of God. Even so, right in the heat of the great tribulation, when God gives the admonition that receiving the mark of the beast is an unpardonable sin, the Bible adds that this admonition is for God’s faithful and obedient bondservants: “This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to (or keep their faith) in Jesus (Revelation 14:12). Now, if all of God’s faithful servants will be raptured before the great tribulation, why will God specifically now be warning all His faithful servants to whom He wrote the book, not to take the mark of the beast during the great tribulation? This completely debunks the pre-tribulation rapture ideology. Contrary to the view that the Bible gives no instruction to the church during the great tribulation, the Bible rather calls on all God’s faithful servants, who currently keep God’s command and keep their faith in Jesus to persevere (patiently endure) during those days. Even so, we can patiently endure those days to the degree that we have faith in God for it is those with faith who are called to endure unto victory (Revelation 14:12).
The Scriptures also gives us this solemn admonition: “For yet in a very little while, He who is coming will come, and will not delay. But My righteous one shall live by faith; and if he shrinks back, My soul has no pleasure in him” (Hebrews 10:37-38). Because Jesus’ coming is near and He will not delay, we are commanded to continue in faith without shrinking back. This is how we are going to be victorious in these last days: “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith” (1 John 5:4).

A Very Important Message
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life (John 3:16). For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23). Therefore, If you do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, I invite you to put your faith in Him. Pray the prayer below to accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour: “I come to you God in Jesus’ name and surrender my life unto you. I repent of my sins and I ask You to forgive me all my sins. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord, and I believe with my heart that God has raised Jesus from the dead. I thank you God for saving me, in Jesus name, Amen”. If you sincerely prayed this prayer, believe and be assured that you are saved, for the Bible says that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13, Romans 10:9-10, Acts 16:31). Find a Bible believing church to attend so that you can be discipled to grow in the ways of God. You can also email me ([email protected]) and I will be happy to grow together with you in Christ.
Thank you Looking forward your next post
