Galatians 3:28 also declares, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus”. The anchoring phrase here is “in Christ”. This text is not denying the existence of different nationalities or sexes in Scripture. The Bible affirms that God Himself established the boundaries of our habitation and created our ethnicities and the bounds of our dwellings (Acts 17:26). Revelation shows us that the nations will walk by the light of God’s city and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it (Revelation 21:24), showing us God’s recognition of our distinct cultures and nationalities. Scripture likewise gives specific instructions about the proper relationship between male and female, and admonishes that the physical distinctions between men and women are to be respected and honored (Romans 1:26-29, 1 Corinthians 7; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Ephesians 5:22–29; 1 Peter 3:7).
Therefore, Galatians 3:28 is not erasing the physical differences God created between the sexes, nor is it disregarding our distinct nationalities. However, the phrase “in Christ” bears directly on our spiritual life in Him. When we gather as the church, we do so on the basis of the new spiritual life we have in Christ (John 1:13; 1 Peter 1:23) and to worship God in Spirit and in truth (John 4:24; Romans 12:1). Consequently, when we meet as a church on the basis of our spiritual life in Christ, the distinctions that divide us in our physical lives, such as race and sex, do not become our defining attributes. We are all one and equal before God in Christ (Romans 8:17; 1 Peter 3:7), and the very grounds upon which some would exclude others from freely and fully worshiping and ministering to God, namely race and gender, I believe, lose their force.
It is also worth noting that following His death and resurrection, Jesus commanded His disciples to go and make disciples of all nations, teaching them to observe everything He had commanded them (Matthew 28:18–20). The very teachings of Jesus during His earthly ministry are therefore the foundation upon which He commissioned His church to be built. When the apostles came on the scene, they were clear that they came only to preach Christ, not to contradict Him, and their teachings can only be properly understood when moored to Jesus and His words (Ephesians 2:19–20; 2 Corinthians 4:5). Significantly, in all of Jesus’ own preaching and teaching, not once did He forbid a woman from teaching or speaking His word. In fact, after His resurrection, which inaugurated the New Testament church, Jesus commissioned Mary Magdalene, a woman, to go and proclaim His resurrection to His disciples, who were men. A woman proclaiming the resurrection of Jesus to a group of men who had gathered. This is a picture of the New Testament church right there. We have no example anywhere of Jesus forbidding women to preach or teach, either before or after His death and resurrection. It would be difficult to argue, then, that Paul, who declared he preached nothing but what Christ had established, would oppose Jesus Himself on this point.

A Very Important Message:
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life (John 3:16). For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23). Therefore, If you do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, I invite you to put your faith in Him. Pray the prayer below to accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour: “I come to you God in Jesus’ name and surrender my life unto you. I repent of my sins and I ask You to forgive me all my sins. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord, and I believe with my heart that God has raised Jesus from the dead. I thank you God for saving me, in Jesus name, Amen”. If you sincerely prayed this prayer, believe and be assured that you are saved, because the Bible says, “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13, Romans 10:9-10, Acts 16:31). Find a Bible believing church to attend so that you can be taught and trained to grow in the ways of God. God bless you.

Thank you. Blessings.
