Another sure way to know our time of visitation is to follow the peace of God in our hearts. Colossians 3:15 says, “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful”. This also translates from the Greek as “Let the peace of God be an arbiter (i.e., one who settles a dispute or has ultimate authority in a matter) in your heart” (Colossians 3:15). The Greek word translated “rule” means to arbitrate, govern, be an umpire, decide, determine, direct, or control.
Thus, when faced with any situation, God expects us to use His peace in our hearts to decide or determine the direction we are to follow. The peace of God in our hearts also equates to the witness of His Holy Spirit in our hearts (cf. Romans 8:16), and this is a primary way the Holy Spirit leads us. Whenever we do not have peace in any situation, that is God’s sign for us to stay away. On the other hand, the presence of God’s peace in our hearts is our witness or confirmation to proceed in that direction or enter that door by faith.
The peace of God is indeed spiritual. However, it does manifest in the natural in our emotions or feelings just as the voice of the Holy Spirit in our hearts is spiritual but also manifests in the natural as thoughts in our minds (cf. Romans 8:5). Therefore, as a believer abiding in Christ, whenever you don’t feel good or sense peace in your heart about any matter do not proceed in that direction until otherwise. In other words, the presence of apprehension or uneasiness about any matter should be a sign for us to stop, although there may not be any reason in the natural for this lack of peace or uneasiness. This is a practical way to be guided by the Spirit of God through His witness and God’s peace.
It must, however, be emphasized that if you are not given to prayer as well as meditating on and obeying God’s word (i.e., abiding in Christ), you will struggle to be led by the peace of God. Not abiding in Christ will make you prone to worry, fear, and anxiety. This will make you fret just about everything, and wrongfully accept the fear and anxiety, which you should have overcome as the absence of God’s peace. Those who don’t abide in Christ are also dominated by carnality (cf. Romans 15:6, Galatians 5:16, Romans 8:6-9). This will make you desirous of everything that appeals to your flesh, and misconstrue your fleshly desires as the peace of God. We are able to walk in the peace of God to the degree that we abide in Christ.
When we abide in Christ and follow the peace of God in our hearts, we will be following the leading of the Holy Spirit. By this we shall not miss our appointed times and our day of visitation.

A Very Important Message
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life (John 3:16). For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23). Therefore, If you do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, I invite you to put your faith in Him. Pray the prayer below to accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour: “I come to you God in Jesus’ name and surrender my life unto you. I repent of my sins and I ask You to forgive me all my sins. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord, and I believe with my heart that God has raised Jesus from the dead. I thank you God for saving me, in Jesus name, Amen”. If you sincerely prayed this prayer, believe and be assured that you are saved, for the Bible says that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13, Romans 10:9-10, Acts 16:31).
