How To Release Your Faith
Having stores of food will not satisfy your hunger unless you actually take the food and eat it. In the same way having faith in your heart will hardly profit you unless you release your faith to accomplish its purpose. How do we release the faith?
In Matthew 17:20, Jesus said the following “And He said to them, “Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you”. In the words of Jesus, if you have faith then you will say or speak, and by saying what you believe you will have what you say. This is how nothing is made impossible to you. In other words, faith speaks. Faith is released through the words we say to make the impossible possible. Jesus reaffirms this truth in Mark’s gospel, “And Jesus answering saith unto them, have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith” (Mark 11:22-23). In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall a thing be established. Thus Jesus’ repetition of the need to release our faith through the words we speak establishes faith-filled confessions as a necessary ingredient to release our faith to work. And when we speak, we must not doubt in our heart but believe that what we say is going to happen (Mark 11:23).
Paul also reiterated this truth: “And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak” (2 Corinthians 4:13). Where there is faith, there is speaking. Faith speaks what it believes and receives what it says. The Syrophoenician woman also received her request not merely because she believed Jesus was able but because of what she said: “And He (Jesus) said to her, “For this statement you may go your way; the demon has left your daughter” (Mark 7:29). What we say matter. Your words have a definite role in determining if you will see the manifestation of what you have believed as well as the course of your life – for “death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof” (Proverbs 18:21).
According to the Scriptures, faith comes by hearing the word of God (Romans 10:17), which is also the will of God. Therefore, if what we are speaking is of genuine biblical faith, then it will be in line with God’s Word and His will for us. Otherwise it is not faith but presumption which is not guaranteed to work. Therefore, don’t just say what you please. Find out what God’s word says about your situation, then agree with God by believing what He says and say the same thing as He says about your situation without doubting and good shall come to you (cf. Job 22:21, Mark 11:22-24).

A Very Important Message
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life (John 3:16). For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23). Therefore, If you do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, I invite you to put your faith in Him. Pray the prayer below to accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour: “I come to you God in Jesus’ name and surrender my life unto you. I repent of my sins and I ask You to forgive me all my sins. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord, and I believe with my heart that God has raised Jesus from the dead. I thank you God for saving me, in Jesus name, Amen”. If you sincerely prayed this prayer, believe and be assured that you are saved, for the Bible says that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13, Romans 10:9-10, Acts 16:31).
