Why Is Faith So Important?
Faith is not a movement, which some Christians may opt to join. Neither is it supposed to be a characteristic that only defines certain kinds of Christians or denominations. Without faith, you can’t even be saved to begin with (Ephesians 2:8, Acts 16:31 ) and there is no way you can please God just as we read, “Now without faith it is impossible to please God” (Hebrews 11:6). You are actually sinning if you are not living by faith because “everything that does not come from faith is sin” (Romans 14:23). Not only that but you also call God a liar because “the one who does not believe God has made Him a liar” (1 John 5:10). Even so, to be without faith and be counted among the unbelieving is to be in a dangerous place and in bad company.
Faith is not optional. God Himself demands that you walk by faith if you are one of His: “But my righteous one shall live by faith, and if he shrinks back, My soul has no pleasure in him”(Hebrews 10:38), and at Jesus’ second coming, He also expects faith from you: “when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8). It is impossible to live the Christian life properly without faith because in Christ we walk by faith not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7) and the life we live in the body we are supposed to live it by faith (Galatians 2:20).
You will not get far in the Christian life if you do not train yourself to walk by faith. Without faith, not even your prayers are guaranteed an answer “for such a person (who doubts) ought not to think or expect that he will receive anything from the Lord (James 1:7). Your faith is your defense. Without it you are defenseless against the flaming arrows the devil throws at you (Ephesians 6:16). Your faith is also the victory that overcomes (1 John 5:4 ), not just an expectation of victory, so that when you let go of your faith, you lose the victory.
To have faith is simply to believe and act on the Word of God (James 2:18-20). In the words of Jesus, the one who hears His words and do not act on them is foolish, which expressly means that it is foolishness to live without faith (Matthew 7:26). But the one who hears His Words and acts on them, i.e., the one who walks by faith, is he who is wise and will prevail against the storms of life that come against all, both to the unbelieving and the believing, the foolish and the wise (Matthew 7:24-27).

A Very Important Message
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life (John 3:16). For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23). Therefore, If you do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, I invite you to put your faith in Him. Pray the prayer below to accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour: “I come to you God in Jesus’ name and surrender my life unto you. I repent of my sins and I ask You to forgive me all my sins. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord, and I believe with my heart that God has raised Jesus from the dead. I thank you God for saving me, in Jesus name, Amen”. If you sincerely prayed this prayer, believe and be assured that you are saved, for the Bible says that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13, Romans 10:9-10, Acts 16:31).
